DUTCH APPLE PIE
Filing
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup maple syrup (until liquid paste)
Topping
1 cup flour (additional if needed to make a crumble)
1 cup whole oats
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
Pour filing into pie crust. Crumble topping on top. Cover crust with ring or aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, remove crust cover, then bake additional 15 minutes or until topping brown and filling starting to bubble.
